Wicked.....

Well it is hard to believe it is almost the end of  October. Where does the time go to?
I want to thank Wicked  Wendy  for all her hard work for putting this blog together. And also to Madame Sam our cheerleader.
Time to show my Halloween pieces. Halloween is a time that I don't do many crafts or decorate that much.. Another reason I enjoy these blog hops. A reason to make new and interesting things.

My grand children last Halloween. They went to Flordia this year for Halloween. I can imagine the fun that they had. Can't wait to see their pictures.

I found this mug rug pattern free on The Connecting Threads sight. A nice project to sew on a Saturday afternoon. I also had time to make this next piece. Another free pattern I found from Fave Quilts.

It looks better on the wall than my picture took. I have been practising my embroidery and doing a little machine quilting.
These are a couple of pieces that I did last year that I really like. A cross stitch piece that I turned into a pillow. A gift to a friend that I used to babysit. She loves Halloween. Her favourite holiday to decorate.

My first applique table runner that I did when I bought my new sewing machine last summer.

I also have a little give away. It is a little late for this Halloween but if you are like me when you pack it away and bring it out the next year, you forgot you have it and get excited. I do that with Christmas gifts that I get and pack away and forget all about them until I bring them out next Christmas. It is like getting that gift twice.

So just leave me a comment for this little wall hanging. Here is the schedule for the Wicked Hop.

Wicked is on it's way

Halloween is just around the corner and so is Wicked. I am sure there is going to be so many beautiful entries and I hope everyone takes the time to visit everyone. It starts Tuesday. There looks to be quite a few people joining. I will be showing a couple of pieces on Friday the 25th. I have them ready to show and hope you have a chance to stop by. Here is the schedule for the week. Wendy Christian I am sure has put a lot of work in getting this organized. Thank you.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Have the day off and looking forward to a day sewing with my best friends, Marjorie and Connie and then this evening for our craft night with Rose and Judy also.
I have been busy working on my blog hop that is coming up soon, Wicked. I have them almost done. My quilt is coming along slowly but am very happy with the result. Should have it quilted by Christmas. LOL

So I better get going so I can get a little done before a great afternoon with friends. Since I told my husband a little white lie so I didn't have to go to work today I better finish painting those stepping stones for him or I might be in trouble. Ha Ha They have the poem  Footprints and it is tiny little letters. Very time consuming. There are six of them to paint. So I hope everyone has a great day.

Better Late Than Never.... The Winner is ...

I have been away working and just got home but I wanted to announce the winner of the Let's Twist to the 60's....

Love you pillow! The colours are just beautiful in your projects. Beautiful work! ;)  Congratulations Amy and I will email you soon.

Also I see my friend Marjorie has posted our quilts that we had got together last Saturday to make. It was our way of starting the season of our craft nights for the winter season. We had a great day but I didn't get there Wednesday when they took their pictures. Here is my version. So visit Marjorie to see the other girls quilts.

I had enough prints in my stash to make this. These are the colours in my grand daughters room so this looks like a great Christmas present for her this year. I love the lime green on how it makes it pop. I am sure she will love this. This will be my first queen quilt that I am going to machine quilt. Wish me luck.

Had a nice drive to the northern end of NB this week and seeing how all the fall colours are showing. They have more yellows up there where we have a lot of reds and oranges. Very pretty and the weather was great. My favourite time of the year to work. I love fall.
