Hey everybody, I finally got the internet working at the camp ground. A friend of mind put it through my phone. I am not sure why my son didn't show me. Last year I never had any trouble getting on the internet. This year I have something I enjoy doing and can't get it to work.
A beautiful day on Prince Edward Island. Having a great Canada Day weekend. Just had a barbeque with friends and waiting for the camp fire.
I got my block done for the Road Trip Quilt along. I am hooked on this blogging and can't wait to see what everyone is working on. Here is my block.

Back on Prince Edward Island for awhile. Brought my granddaughter with me. We had a great day today shopping and getting the trailer ready for the week. I hope the weather is with us. Hope to have some time to practise on my new sewing machine.
My husband just brought us a ice cream cake for my birthday. He remembered.

My first block with my new sewing machine, the Ohio Star. The fourth block to the Summer road trip Quilt along. It went togeather really well.

I just got back from Moncton with my new sewing machine. A Husqvarna Viking Tribute 140C. By the looks of it I will need to take some classes. It is quite a step up from what I am used to.




These are a few of the free things that I got with it.



A quilting table, free motion foot, and many more feet, a travel bag for the table and a essentials kit. The picture didn't turn out as clear as I would have liked. Well time to go and play.

I love to quilt but my other passion is cross stitch. Here is something that I have been working on this winter. I finally finished it.

I also bought myself an early birthday present, some new material for the summer road quilt along.


Its hard to pick a coordinating colour once you start your blocks but I think the green will go nice with the browns and yellows.

WIP wednesday

I am just new on this sight and a friend is trying to set me up, Marjorie's Busy Corner. So I decided to join this sight today. I have lots of projects that I am working on and when I figure how to do this I will post the pictures.
One of the things that I tired was the tube quilting. It was interesting and was pleased on hopw it turned out.

Road trip Quilt Along

I have decided to try a quilt along and am really enjoying it. This is my first block the Virginia Star. I was really pleased with this one.

This is the second block of the quilt along, the Maryland  block. The first time that I have done paper piecing. I found this very interesting . I haven't done this before.

This is the third block of my quilt along. I didn't put this block together the same way. I put this together wrong, but I thought it was supposed to be a star. This block is called the Pennsylvania parade.

I really enjoyed getting this block on Friday as it gave me the weekend to work on it. When I get it on Monday I really want to get at it and after working all day I am tired and then I make mistakes.
