This is my first Blog Hop and paper piecing. That was an experience. Thanks to Madame Samm at Sew We Quilt and Carol for organizing this. It was alot of fun. I am so amazed with all the different designs. Everyone did a beautiful job. Thanks to Regina for the beautiful pattern.
I live in a beautiful part of the country where the world's largest flower pots are "The Hopewell Cape Rocks". I have a great husband, two sons with great daughter" n" laws and four beautiful grand children.
I started blogging early this summer and just love it. Even though I have a really busy summer with work and keeping my grand children I have got alot sewing done this summer.
Now back to this blog hop. I kind of signed up without really knowing what I was getting into. I have never done paper piecing before. I have learned so much since I started blogging.
So here is my bowls.
I was quite happy with this. A nice piece for my kitchen.
Here is today's list of blogs in the hop:

Now for the give away. Since I am a new blogger I thought it would be a good chance to meet some new bloggers. So just leave a comment and hope to see you back. I will randomly draw on the 29thof August. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteVery nice bowls!
ReplyDeleteMarla-Thanks for the hint about where you live. I wasn't sure, so I "googled it"! Wow! Now I know that you live in the area near the Bay of Fundy. As a (retired) teacher I learned about BoF when I had to teach an Oceanography Unit to 6th graders and was amazed at the tides. Here on the west coast of the US, California, we have tides, but nothing like the BoF. Your little quilt is sweet. I have not yet mastered PP. I think in retrospect I tried "bite off more than I could chew," that is it's better to start small, not attempt to make an entire quilt of PP. So I will try some smaller pieces and maybe get back to that quilt. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about paper piecing. When I signed up I didn't realize what I was getting into. Never did it before. I found a book in my quilt books on paper piecing that I have had for years and didn't know what to do with. It has 100 blocks. Now will have time this winter to practise. My husband and I love California. Been there a few times. Wish it was closer to the east coast. He prefers it to Flordia. We drove down the coast from Victoria from Victoria to San Fransico one years. Loved it.We love San Fransico. Stayed a few days when we went ot Hawaii. Took a cruise from Long Beach one year. Well thanks for the note.
